07 Jun 07Cascade Microtech Appoints Tariq Alam as Director of Worldwide Sales and Service for Engineering Products Division

"He brings with him a strong background in business development, sales management and customer support within the semiconductor industry. His diverse skill set will be a great asset to our division as we continue to improve the productivity of our worldwide sales and service organizations, and penetrate new market opportunities."

Tariq Alam joined Cascade Microtech in 1999 as a senior applications engineer, after receiving a doctorate in microwave engineering from the University of Leeds, UK. He later grew within the company to hold positions in product marketing and sales management and, in 2003, was selected to lead Asia-Pacific business development. Since that time, Dr. Alam has directed the opening and operations of Cascade Microtech Singapore in 2003 and the Cascade Microtech Taiwan and Shanghai facilities in 2006.
