Essential Functions
Directs, leads, and manages the technical activities for the development of electronic and mechanical design. Establishes operational objectives and work plans, assigns projects, sets priorities and allocates resources. Trains, mentors and oversees the engineering group and their activities in regard to mechanical and project management issues.

Technical Skills and Knowledge
Requires a Bachelor degree in one of the manufacturing technology disciplines (Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering) or in Business Administration. Requires a strong mechanical or manufacturing management background with 7 years experience managing or supervising others. Must be able to use CAD systems possess expert ability in the use of MS Office applications: Project, Word and Excel. An understanding of flow-chart design and the theory of MRP is needed. Requires the ability to lead, mentor and coach others. Must have the ability to manage projects and priorities effectively. Must possess excellent communication skills both written and verbal and a high level of organization skill.

Environmental Considerations
Position resides in an office setting. Must be able to move from place to place with occasional bending and stooping. Must be able to understand and follow safety procedures. Must be able to travel occasionally by air. Must be able to successfully complete a drug screening.
