Dual Infinity Probe
The Infinity Probe® family is expanding with the addition of the Dual Infinity Probe series to 67 GHz. The new probe provides the best isolation among currently available commercial probes between the two signals. This is a critical advantage in performing accurate two or four-port calibrations. The Dual Infinity Probe is available in GSGSG, GSSG and SGS configurations and frequencies up to 67 GHz.
The Dual Infinity Probe ensures low and stable contact resistance on aluminum pads (typically <0.05 Ohms). The contact area of the Dual Infinity Probe tips is approximately 12 microns by 12 microns allowing probing of pads that are less than 50 microns x 50 microns in size.
- Superior contact resistance
- Superior measurement integrity
- Ability to contact 50 micron pads
- Reduces crosstalk
- Reduces Contact resistance on aluminum pads
Superior Crosstalk characteristics
The Superior cross talk characteristics of the dual Infinity ensures accurate calibrations. This is achieved by being able to distance the signal traces on the thin film substrate far apart as well as placing a Ground Interposer ™ between the two signals at the tips. This ensures particularly in the case of the GSSG probe that the fields from the signal lines effectively terminate on the interposer reducing the coupling between the two signals.
Features
- Ground Interposer ™ between the two signals
- 40, 50, 67 GHz versions
- GSGSG, GSSG, SGS versions
