Automated Radio Frequency (RF) Probe Positioners

EPD-Positioner-MS1-8The MS1-8 series programmable micropositioners are designed for RF/Microwave applications on Summit 12000-Series stations where high accuracy and repeatability are required. They can be operated with a host computer, a joystick, or manually if required.

The MS1-8 motorized, programmable RF/microwave positioner is designed for use with the Summit 12000-Series probe stations. Based on the MS1-44, the MS1-8 consists of a bolt-down base and an RF/Microwave probe arm that conveniently fits within the MicroChamber® top hat.

Benefits

  • One-tenth micron step size offers the resolution required for today’s precision probing
  • Custom-made miniature stepper motors and drive systems minimize unit size
  • Stepper motors have “hands-on” override for manual operation
  • Orthogonal movement permits consistent motion in relation to the streets and rows of the DUT

Features

  • Provides 3 axes of linear motion
  • True linear motion for ultra precise probe-tip placement
  • Up to 2 micropositioners can be fitted to a Summit 12000-Series station
  • Positioners can operate with a host computer or joystick
  • East or west configurations for convenience and ergonomics
  • Local movement control, up and down, x and y
  • Remote control with SCPI commands
